![]() It hurt so much to see the strongest skeleton you knew sobbing into your arms. Your tears came slowly as well, and you watch as they fall onto Sans’ blue parka. You heard words like ‘never’ and ‘reset’, and you knew exactly what he had a nightmare about. He was mumbling something you couldn’t quite make out. The room fills with the glow of his blue tears, and he starts panting and sobbing and hiccuping and all you could do was hold him tight. You silently listen to him sob into your shoulders, getting your favorite pajamas wet, but really, you could care less. You offer him a lopsided smile, and he sighs. You awkwardly raise your hands, open from an embrace. You shook your head, shooting him a smile. “No use trying to keep anything from you, huh?” he stated, sadly. He shuts his eye sockets and opens them again, and you see that they now have a blue glow in them. He lets out a breath and his wide smile falters a bit as he shakes his head. I just- it’s just- I, uhm-” Sans sputtered out with his deep and melodic voice that made the hairs on your arms rise. You turned to the piece of furniture in the middle of the room- his bed, and there he sat, silently rubbing his eye sockets and you tried not to wonder how skeletons cried. Balls of paper and emptied bags of chips were scattered all over the room, and a treadmill was placed on one side. However, it was just a mostly barren room. You heard a muffled ‘yes’ from inside, so you opened the door and entered his room.Ĭonsidering it was your first time inside, you would’ve been surprised. “Sans, can I come in?” you said, loud enough for only him to hear. You twisted the doorknob, finding it to be unlocked. The sobs seemed to have become quiet sniffles, and you heard rustling and movement from the other side. You knocked on the door, with your worry outweighing your fears. You had noticed that Sans would occasionally sob at night, and while at first you thought he was probably watching those human soap operas, like he said he was, you realized he wasn’t the type of person to stay up watching drama anyway. You shut your eyes, forcing yourself not to cry. The sobs now had a slower tempo, but it had grown louder. You stood in front of the door, and although you were a bit taller than the owner of the room, you couldn’t help but feel so small and feeble. ![]() You quickly continued rushing to Sans’ room, occasionally tripping over his and Papyrus’ junk and knick-knacks. The loud snores that echoed from inside the room had momentarily blocked the sounds of Sans’ sobs. Each one an exact replica of the stickers back in Snowdin and scrawled with his familiar handwriting. You passed by Papyrus’ sticker-covered door. You immediately jumped at the chance to spend more time with both of them, specifically the skeleton that had filled you with the emotion called love. The skeleton brothers had offered to let you stay with them, since Toriel was off on a trip to meet other human principals. You told yourself, rushing out of your room and into your apartment’s hallway. You had brought the monsters out of the underground. With your hands in a ball, you stood up, trying to figure out where the noises were coming from. At that moment, you heard soft and deep sobs, each one a bit louder than the last. You sat up, narrowing your eyes and straining to hear anything else. Besides, given the fact that you had just spent an entire day ensuring everything was in perfectly in place, it honestly horrified you. The quaint town of Snowdin wouldn’t normally be graced with a horrified scream. Your eyes immediately shot open, and you could feel your soul resonating inside of you. In the midst of the seemingly quiet and peaceful night, you heard a piercing loud scream cut through the air. Summary: sans wasn’t the type of guy to cry and sob over nightmares, but he knew you would be there to give him warmth when he did here’s some fluffy sans action for all of you sinners. ![]() tried to make it as gender-neutral as possible. sans goes through a lot of shit, so here’s you trying to cheer him up.
